PrimoSpot has always saved you time, but now we can save you more money! Introducing a new feature on our web and mobile apps: Hourly Parking Coupons.

Using our mobile app:

• Open the PrimoSpot Parking app on your mobile phone
• Tap the current location button or search for your destination address
• On the map, look for markers with the $ coupon indicator and tap on them, or ...
  
• On the list, tap the "Deals" tab at the top, and only garages with coupons available will show
  
• Tap the garage name to get more information
• In the garage details, tap the mobile coupon section to see the coupon details
  
• At checkout, simply show your phone or read out the coupon code to the attendant to get the discounted rate
  

On the web:

• Search for an address and look for a marker with the $ coupon indicator on it
  
• Click that marker and go to the deals tab OR click the online coupon in the price list at the bottom
  
• A new window (or tab) in will open in your browser with the coupon details
  
• Print the coupon using your browser or the print button on the coupon page
• Take this coupon and present it to attendant on checkout

We are proud to be the first parking app to these new coupon deals to NYC, and are looking forward to expanding mobile coupons to Boston and Seattle. As usual, we are working hard to add new cities into our system -- check our blog or twitter feed to see when new cities will be supported.

We are proud to announce that we now have COMPLETE on-street coverage for all five NYC metro boroughs. We would like to thank the NYC Department of Transportation for helping us make this a possibility.

Using our service you should be able to search for on-street parking for most ALL of Brooklyn and Queens now -- this includes all the Eastern sections not previously covered. Of course we still support The Bronx and Staten Island. This also includes a big refresh of information for Manhattan as well. Included in this update as well is bus stop information.

Due to a technical glitch with our server and Apple, the parking reminders in our iPhone apps are currently not working all of the time. We are working hard on a replacement system which will be more reliable than the old notification system.

iPhone users: Look for better and working reminders in the new update coming soon ... Stay tuned.

UPDATE: reminders are working again. We are still working on replacing the push notifications with a better local notifications system.

UPDATE 2: We have replaced the puch notifications with local reminders (like a Calendar alert) in version 1.5 which is in the iTunes store now. This reminder will work underground also, it does not require network connectivity. Local reminders require your device to be on iOS 4.0 or above.

In case you haven't heard, the Bicycle Access to Garages law, passed last August is making it easier to find sheltered parking for your set of TWO wheels. Any public lot with more than 100 spaces is required to put aside spots for monthly and daily bike parking as well.

In late summer 2011, lots with more than 51 will also be needing to add bike parking to their offering. Now, just like with cars, the garage assumes no risk or security of your ride while it's there. You may supply your own lock.

The Streetsblog NYC has a good post on this, featuring one garage that is taking the directive seriously.

So when you are not driving...know where to keep that bike!

NYC's favorite parking application announces full coverage of all 5 NYC boros

PrimoSpot, the only online and mobile application that provides guidance for on-street parking, garage parking, and bike racks, has just added full coverage of all NYC boros, most notably the Bronx and Staten Island. Now more residents and visitors can find both on-street and garage parking more easily - on primospot.com or with the PrimoSpot iPhone or applications.

The team is happy to announce that PrimoSpot service has been expanded to include the Bronx! We know many people were requesting this service - now you can park a lot easier to enjoy all the wonderful things the Bronx offers.

Our next step will be the inclusion of Staten Island, hopefully in the coming week. We'll confirm timing with a blog post.
