About PrimoSpot
After living in Manhattan for years and racking up several hundred dollars of parking tickets, the site creator decided there must be a better way. After asking other drivers what their methods were, we heard that a few people were keeping hand-drawn maps in notebooks in their cars. As a programmer, he decided to create the map online. He opened the site to allow people to add their own streets and neighborhoods, and in June 2007, PrimoSpot was born.
How it works:
Using Google maps and an extensive database of parking signs, its easier than ever to find the primo spot. You can navigate around on the map using your mouse and the parking information will load in automatically.
This is not, currently, a way to find paid garages. Alternate side of the street parking suspensions and holidays are currently not reflected in the times left on a spot.
PrimoSpot regrets that it cannot tell if a spot is available at any given moment.
Adding a spot:
You can add spots to the map by clicking Add Spot! at the top. Find the spot on the map where you want to add a space, and follow the instructions on the left hand side. Try it out!
